OVERVIEW OF COLLEGE COUNCIL

The College Council is an important academic and administrative body of a nursing college. It serves as a platform for planning, coordinating, and monitoring various academic, co-curricular, and administrative activities of the institution. The council works to ensure the smooth functioning of the college and the maintenance of educational standards.

Objectives

  • To promote excellence in nursing education.
  • To plan and monitor academic activities.
  • To facilitate effective communication among departments.
  • To address issues related to students, faculty, and administration.
  • To ensure compliance with the guidelines of regulatory bodies.

Composition

  • The College Council is usually chaired by the Principal and consists of:
  • Vice Principal
  • Heads of Departments
  • 2 Faculty Members
  • Physical education faculty
  • Office Superintendent
  • PTA president
  • Secretory
  • College union chairman

Meetings

College council meeting is conducted once in a year. Minutes of the meeting are recorded and maintained for future reference and follow- up actions.
